Golden Blades Improve at Cooper Cup
Cooper River, Cherry Hill, NJ 
4/29/2007 - The Osprey Oars quad, continuing its quest to compete against the strongest quads in the country, elected not to compete in the Florida State Championships on April 29 where they were the overwhelming favorites to capture the quad title. Instead, they traveled to Cherry Hill, NJ to compete in the Cooper Cup, a 2000 meter race on the Cooper River in preparation for the National Championships in June....

4/24/2007 - The Osprey Oars' varsity quad of Alex Miller, Parker Lawler, Kyle Schmidt and Ian Stewart, put its undefeated season on the line when it traveled to Princeton, New Jersey on April 21st to take on some of the fastest youth sculling programs in the country over the 1500 meter course on Mercer Lake....

Peter de Manio, Founder and Former Head Coach of the Sarasota Scullers Youth Rowing Program and its
predecessor organizations, coaches Osprey Oars out of the same clubhouse at 131 Bayview Drive
in Osprey from which he has introduced over 2000 student athletes to rowing since 1991. Osprey
Oars is open to all students from all area high schools, who wish to test themselves to the limits
of their abilities, stressing scholarship, leadership, physical conditioning, responsibility, teamwork
and a winning attitude.
